Nature Lovers | Three Unique Wedding Venues in the Outaouais

As a photographer based in the Gatineau/Ottawa region, it’s important for me to introduce future newlyweds to venues created with intention. Places where every detail is thoughtfully designed with a human touch, authenticity, and aesthetic vision. Created with love by two sisters, Olivia and Sophie, Le Peaches & Cream is the culmination of this vision. It is truly an ideal venue in the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, offering an intimate experience within an elegant, bright, and refreshing setting. A tasteful blend of modernity, nature, and rustic charm. Honestly, I fell in love the moment I set foot on the property! With breathtaking landscapes, 700 acres of grounds, bright open spaces, a capacity to host up to 120 guests, and accommodations for 25 people, Le Peaches & Cream is a magical Outaouais venue for a wedding with a truly unique vibe!

Le Moulin de Wakefield is an utterly charming venue, located near Gatineau Park, perfect for an intimate wedding surrounded by your loved ones! Once a restored flour mill, it is now also a Hotel and Spa where you can enjoy a luxurious culinary experience and complete relaxation. Surrounded by nature, this venue offers a romantic ceremony setting with stunning views of the Gatineau River, along with rustic yet elegant reception spaces.
It was in this warm and picturesque atmosphere that I had the chance to photograph Annie & Éric’s wedding in August 2023 — a magical day forever etched in my memory!

Kenauk Nature It is the third wedding venue in the Outaouais region that I’d like to introduce to you. A private estate with forests, lakes, and rivers, located in the beautiful village of Montebello. This is the place for outdoor lovers! You can choose from several ceremony sites — by the lake, in a clearing, or near a river. Kenauk Nature also offers 22 chalets for guests, making it a complete destination wedding venue.
It’s the only venue on this list that I haven’t yet had the chance to photograph, but I’ve heard so many positive things about it! I truly hope I’ll have the opportunity to capture a wedding there in the near future… maybe yours?
