The simplicity of a family moment

In a small corner of tall grass on a Gatineau farm, quite simply.

Sometimes it takes very little to capture an unforgettable moment. No plans, no frills; just a real family who I gave all the freedom to be themselves and have a genuinely fun time. When I look back on this session, I barely remember having a camera in my hand. Instead, I have memories of children's laughter and beautiful bubbles of joy!

I will always remember this session as a real stroke of luck, I would even say a blessing! We planned everything quite quickly and chose the location practically the same day. Caitlin, this radiant mother, was 4 days away from her due date. I still wonder where she got all this strength and enthusiasm from when a future little human had already been growing inside her for 9 months! Making a few jokes throughout the session, we imagined capturing in photos the moment when her water would break. Fortunately, the session took place without complications... or contractions!

What a surprise I had the next day when I received a message from François, the father, telling me that labor had started the day before (just a few hours after our session) and that their little girl had been born that night!

I feel completely honored to have been able to capture this beautiful memory and also the last moments of Caitlin's pregnancy... just in time! On that note, I'll leave you with these few happy pictures!
